The hall has a sprung wooden floor the area of which is 162 square metres. The capacity is 200 guests standing and 150 seated and also an extended stage area.  The kitchen has been recently refurbished along with the ladies and gents toilets, also two disabled toilets, adults and children’s equipped with a baby changing unit. 



The Committee oversees the day to day running of the hall and it’s activities which include weekly -  Bowls, Nifty 60’s, Active Friends Group and an After School Club. There are also regular monthly events such as Camber Book Club, Parish Council meeting and assemblies, children’s and adults birthday parties, weddings and other occasional events.  The hall also serves as the village polling station as well as functioning as the Place of Safety for the village.


The committee meets every two months and has 9 elected members which consists of hall users and residents interested in the community. All residents are encouraged to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday 16th May @ 7p.m. and vote on the election of Committee members.


The Memorial Hall and the freehold of the land on which it is situated is held in trust for the benefit of the residents of Camber.


The hall is available for hire 7 days a week from 8 am to 11.45 pm.


Hire fees includes use of tea and coffee making facilities, use of the kitchen facilities, use of the cooker, utensils and crockery.

Damages deposit required at £50, refundable after hire.

The hall has a Premises License but a Temporary Events Notice is required at £21 from Rother Council for the consumption/sale of alcohol during a hire.
